Intermediate Apprenticeship in Professional Cookery (Preparation and Cooking)          This apprenticeship is for you if you are working or who want to work, in Preparation and Cooking and need a qualification to show your skills and knowledge. You should choose this apprenticeship if you work, or want to work, as a Chef across a wide range of cuisines and food types. This apprenticeship allows you considerable flexibility to choose the areas that you wish to specialise in which allows you to focus on specialist areas if you wish.  You will also continue to develop your English and maths skills.  You may be exempt from functional skills if you have the appropriate grades in GCSE English and maths.


Entry requirements

A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade A-D, including English and maths. Previous knowledge and experience in the hospitality industry is not essential however,   it is important to have a keen interest in cooking.

This apprenticeship is on a roll-on roll-off basis with starts every month.
